Time Doctor Pricing (2026): Plans, $200 Integrations and the Real Cost

Time Doctor costs $6.70, $11.70 or $16.70 per user per month on annual billing for Basic, Standard and Premium, or $8, $14 and $20 month to month, with Enterprise by quote. Two facts matter more than the headline. Screenshots are on every plan and cannot be turned off, so there is no Time Doctor plan for a team that wants timesheets without surveillance. And the features a managed team needs, attendance, approvals, payroll and app usage, start at Standard, so $11.70 is the realistic entry price, before add-ons that include $200 a month for each HRIS or payroll integration.

This page sets out the October 2026 prices and the two-months-free annual discount, what each plan includes feature by feature, every add-on, the billing and cancellation rules, what teams of 5, 25 and 100 actually pay, the price history, the billing complaints that dominate Time Doctor's reviews with dated quotes, and the tools that cost less or more at the same level.

Time Doctor's page states that annual billing gives "two months free, a 16.6% discount on the monthly price". The 14-day trial gives access to every Premium feature without a card, and payment is charged at the end of the trial if you subscribe. There is no free plan and no stated minimum seat count. On October 28, 2026 the pricing page served plan names and feature lists but rendered the dollar figures as placeholders to automated requests; the prices above were read from the same page earlier in October 2026 and match third-party trackers. Screenshots are on every plan and cannot be removed; that is the single most important fact about Time Doctor pricing, because teams that want timesheets without surveillance have no plan to choose. Attendance, approvals and payroll begin at Standard, so Standard at $11.70 is the realistic entry price for a managed team, not the $6.70 headline.

Add-ons

Add-onAvailable onPrice
Software Cost InsightsBasic, Standard$3 per user per month
HRIS native integrationBasic, Standard$200 per integration per month
Payroll native integrationBasic, Standard$200 per integration per month

SSO, Automated User Provisioning, BigQuery accessBasic, StandardPer account per month; amounts did not render October 28

The $200-per-integration charges are the ones that surprise buyers: a Standard-plan team of 20 that connects Time Doctor to its HRIS and its payroll system pays $234 for seats and $400 for the two integrations. At that point Premium, which includes the API and SSO, or a competitor with free integrations, is cheaper.

Price history

Time Doctor's Basic, Standard and Premium tiers were priced at $7, $10 and $20 per user monthly through 2022 and 2023 with annual discounts. The current monthly rates of $8, $14 and $20 and annual rates of $6.70, $11.70 and $16.70 were in place by 2025, which represents an increase of about $1 on Basic and $4 on Standard month to month. The add-on model, including the $200 integration charges, appeared in 2025. In 2026 the company added the Benchmarks AI report and an MCP connector to Premium without a list price change. Wayback Machine snapshots could not be fetched on October 28, 2026 to pin the dates.

What customers complain about

Time Doctor's Trustpilot profile is among the worst in the category: 1.2 of 5 across 235 reviews in October 2026, and almost every one-star review is about billing. Five from the past eighteen months:

Charges after cancellation

The dominant theme. The published path is Settings, Billing, Cancel account by the owner; cancellations attempted by email or by a non-owner appear not to take effect.

Key takeaways

Frequently asked questions

How much does Time Doctor cost per user?

$6.70 (Basic), $11.70 (Standard) or $16.70 (Premium) per user per month on annual billing, or $8, $14 and $20 month to month, with Enterprise by quote. Annual billing gives two months free, a 16.6% discount. Prices were checked in October 2026.

Does Time Doctor have a free plan?

No. It offers a 14-day free trial of the Premium features without a credit card. There is no permanent free tier.

Which Time Doctor plan includes payroll and attendance?

Standard, at $11.70 per user on annual billing. Basic covers time tracking, screenshots, projects and the timeline report only. Standard adds schedules, attendance, approvals, app and web usage, productivity ratings, leave and break tracking, payroll and 60 or more integrations.

Can I turn off screenshots in Time Doctor?

No plan removes them. Screenshots are a feature of Basic, Standard and Premium alike; administrators can adjust frequency and blur them but not remove the capability. Teams that want timesheets without screenshots need a different tool.

What are Time Doctor's add-ons?

On Basic and Standard: Software Cost Insights at $3 per user per month, HRIS native integration at $200 per integration per month, payroll native integration at $200 per integration per month, and per-user add-ons for Benchmarks AI, unusual activity reporting, meeting insights, Office vs Remote and video screen recording, plus per-account add-ons for SSO, automated provisioning and BigQuery access. Premium includes most of these.

How do I cancel Time Doctor?

The account owner opens Settings, then Billing, and clicks Cancel account in the billing details; a dialog asks for a reason and confirming cancels. Keep a screenshot. Email requests are not the published path, and charges after attempted cancellation are the most common complaint in Time Doctor's reviews.

Does Time Doctor refund annual plans?

Its pricing FAQ links to a separate refund policy rather than stating terms, and multiple reviewers report annual charges refused for refund. Choose monthly billing until you are certain, and check the first invoice for the billing cycle.

Is Time Doctor cheaper than Hubstaff?

No at the realistic plans. Time Doctor Standard is $11.70 per user against Hubstaff Team at $10 on annual billing, and Hubstaff includes payroll integrations that Time Doctor sells at $200 a month each. Time Doctor Basic ($6.70) is dearer than Hubstaff Starter ($4.99) but includes screenshots on every plan where Hubstaff's are limited on Starter. Our Hubstaff vs Time Doctor comparison covers the detail.
